The salaries of high-ranking officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have become a national secret.

Despite repeated questions from the members of the national assembly, they have not been notified on the matter.

Member National Assembly Iqbal Mohammad Ali questioned why the salaries were not being disclosed.

“When everyone knows the salaries of the Prime Minister and the President, why are the salaries of the PCB officials hidden? Maybe they know that they are being paid a huge amount and that is why they are hiding it. We have asked the PCB time and again but have received no answers. This has never happened in the past,” Ali said.

According to details, the salaries of the Chief Executive Officer Wasim Khan and other high-ranking officials have come under significant scrutiny.

Many individuals along with the IPC Sport Committee have made queries that have not been answered in this regard.

A camera briefing was agreed upon after a lot of insistence. The stated reason behind this was that the officials feared that the leaking of the salaries to the media could cause more criticism.
