HBL PSL's Global Media Rights were always sold in line with international rights. PCB feared that separating them might not yield a large sum of money. However, this time, the management committee was allowed by the government to sell only the rights of PSL while keeping daily affairs restricted, so it had to be sold separately.

Six companies participated in the bids, with the company that mostly acquires PCB contracts obtained broadcast and live streaming rights outside Pakistan.

According to sources, the two-year rights were sold for $450,000 (approximately Rs. 1.26 billion), with amount of $225,000 (approximately Rs. 63 crore) is for the first year.

Three bid review chances were given for the first time, but no company could match the reserve price. However, the amount increased compared to the previous contract. PCB has stated that there has been a 41% increase in the value of HBL PSL Global Media Rights compared to last year. Last time, Pakistan team and HBL PSL matches were included in the global media rights. This time, only the rights of the 9th and 10th editions of the league have been sold. It should be noted that the event will begin on February 17 in Lahore, with Lahore Qalandars participating as defending champions.
