Board has already sent invitations to BCCI, BCB and SLC officials
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is all set to host the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Lahore on November 17, the Daily Express reported.
Preparation of the meeting has already been started by the board, whereas the meeting will be chaired by PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani — who is also the president of ACC.
Initially, the board has sent out invitations to the other members including Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The official announcement of the meeting will be made after the confirmation from members, said a source inside PCB.
Recently, Mani — after taking charge as PCB chairman — had chaired ACC’s annual meeting in Dubai. Before Mani’s tenure, former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi use to perform this duty.
PCB’s two-year tenure as the head of the ACC is also coming to an end and according to rules, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is next in line for the charge.
During the meeting in Lahore, BCB Chairman Nazmul Hassan will officially take charge as the president of ACC, report suggests.
Furthermore, suggestions for promotion of cricket in the region will be discussed while permission of events is also likely to be given during the meeting.
