Fast bowler Mohammad Amir has assured the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that the surrogate betting company will not use his image for its advertising campaign after his inclusion in the Pakistan team.

The PCB warned Amir that there is a prohibition on making agreements with the betting companies by the Government of Pakistan, so he should not become a part of any such advertisement.

A PCB spokesperson stated that Amir assured the board that there was an old agreement in place. The company has also removed Amir's videos from its social media. It is possible that Amir may have terminated the agreement by returning the agreed-upon amount. He assured that the company will not use his images for promotion in the future.

On the other hand, Amir is facing criticism from cricket fans on social media. Last year, he had entered into an agreement for social media promotion with a betting company. According to the agreement, he had agreed to promote the betting company with 60 posts for Rs. 12.5 million.

The company had yesterday posted Amir's old photoshoot on social media, which he had done during his retirement.
