The second ODI match between Pakistan Women and England Women was abandoned due to persistent rain after only 6.5 overs were played in Taunton. As a result, both teams were awarded one point each on the ICC Women’s Championship table.

Earlier in the day, Nida Dar won the toss and chose to bat first with an unchanged XI. Pakistan’s openers, Sadaf Shamas (18 not out off 28 balls, including 2 fours) and Sidra Amin (7 not out off 13 balls), had put together an unbeaten partnership of 29 runs in the 6.5 overs before play was halted.

Lauren Filer, making her first appearance in the three-match series, conceded 18 runs in her three overs, while Kate Cross bowled a maiden over and gave away 11 runs in her 3.5 overs.

England had won the first ODI in Derby, and the final game of the series is scheduled to be played in Chelmsford on May 29.
