Quetta Gladiators' captain Sarfaraz Ahmed will miss another crucial match against Multan Sultans at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight due to a finger injury.

This will be the second match in a row for Sarfaraz. He was also not available in the match against Peshawar Zalmi on Wednesday.

Mohammad Nawaz will continue lead the Gladiators in Sarfaraz's absence.

Quetta must win their last league stage match against Multan Sultans by a big margin to make it to the playoff round of the PSL 8.

The team needs a swing of approximately 100 runs in their favor from the previous games. Meanwhile, Babar Azam-led Zalmi can qualify for the playoffs even if they lose by a close margin.

Quetta Gladiators need to win by ~81 runs to take their NRR above Peshawar Zalmi. But Peshawar Zalmi can qualify even if they lose (vs Islamabad United) by a close margin (~10 runs). So, Quetta need a swing of approximately 100 runs in their favour from these two games.
