Abdullah celebrated Imad's by putting his finger over his mouth, which many fans and Akram expressed dissatisfaction with
Former captain Wasim Akram has slammed Abdullah Shafique on his silent celebration gesture after taking Imad Wasim's catch in Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) season 9 match between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United on Thursday.
Abdullah celebrated by putting his finger over his mouth, which many fans and Akram expressed dissatisfaction with.
Speaking on a local sports channel, Akram questioned Abdullah's way of celebrating the catch.
"No doubt, great catch but who is responsible for dropping 36 catches in Australia’s Test series? Who will answer for that? Abdullah should work in drama industry rather than cricket," Akram said.
It should be noted that during the Melbourne Test match in Australia, crucial catches were dropped by Abdullah including that of David Warner in the first innings and Mitchell Marsh in the second innings, for which he faced severe criticism.
