PSL Commissioner Naila Bhatti resigns

PSL Commissioner Naila Bhatti resigns

Naila Bhatti, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) commissioner, has tendered her resignation to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Her position had been precarious since the new administration took charge.

A crucial meeting of the PSL's working group was supposed to convene in Lahore this week to address key issues, followed by decisions in the governing council meeting led by Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. However, whether this meeting will occur remains uncertain.

Bhatti, who had close ties to former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi, persisted in her role despite a period of reduced influence during Zaka Ashraf's tenure.

However, the situation became increasingly untenable for her with the arrival of the Naqvi-led administration. Bhatti's departure deals a significant blow to the PSL franchises, already dissatisfied with the sluggish pace of proceedings. Further changes are expected in the coming days.
