Quetta Gladiators have rubbished the rumours circulating around in social media regarding the premature departure of Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting in the middle of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.

Quetta Gladiators head of media and player acquisition Nabeel Hashmi took to Twitter to clarify that Cutting is still with the squad and training ahead of their next game.

“Rumours of Ben Cutting leaving for Australia are false. He trained with Quetta Gladiators today and was involved in media talk as well at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore,” Nabeel tweeted.

Meanwhile, Cutting in his media talk in Lahore, was upbeat ahead of the crucial encounter against Multan Sultans on Wednesday.

“Match against Multan Sultans is very important for us,” said Cutting. “We are working on our weaknesses.  If our bowlers execute their plans, then we would be in a very good position in the match.”

The all-rounder added that he is happy to be back in Pakistan and enjoying his time in the country.

“I am completely satisfied with the security. Crowd has been of great support during the matches. I am having a very good time in Pakistan. I had previously visited Pakistan with World XI in 2017 and had a great time,” he said.
