Lahore won the match by six wickets after successfully chasing 187-run target set by Karachi
Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja has questioned Imad Wasim’s captaincy after Karachi Kings lost to Lahore Qalandars on Sunday.
While speaking on his official YouTube channel, Raja said that Imad should have been proactive on the field after claiming three quick wickets during the HBL PSL 6 clash.
“Mohammad Amir conceded a lot of runs in the penultimate over and the strategy could have been a little better by Imad Wasim. When Lahore Qalandars lost 3 wickets for 30 runs at that point strong captaincy was needed and should have ended the game for Lahore Qalandars,” said Raja.
“As Dunk and Fakhar were the only players who could have taken the game deep so Imad Wasim should have bowled one more over from Mohammad Amir. Mohammad Amir is Karachi King's best bowler and it has been easy to chase targets,” he added.
He also praised the highly competitive match between the two sides at the National Stadium in Karachi.
“However, it was a highly competitive contest, the weather was pleasant and, the HBL PSL has lightened up after this match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings,” he concluded.
