The outlook for the second T20I, scheduled for Saturday, looks more promising
The opening match of the five-match T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand was abandoned after just two deliveries due to persistent rain in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
However, the outlook for the second T20I, scheduled for Saturday, looks more promising. According to The Weather Channel, the likelihood of rain on April 20 has decreased to 24 percent, down from yesterday’s forecast of 49 percent.
The forecast for Sunday, when the third T20I is scheduled to take place, is even more favorable. Fans can expect mostly clear skies and only a 12 percent chance of rain, suggesting a full match could be played.
Meanwhile, the training session for the New Zealand cricket team scheduled on Friday has been cancelled due to weather conditions.
After the first three matches at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, both teams will travel to Lahore for the final two T20Is of the series on April 25 and 27.
