The revolting group of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Board of Governors (BoG) has suffered another setback, after Director Sports of Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), Ayaz Butt, has formally apologised to the board.

According to Daily Express, Ayaz has told PCB, in a letter, that whatever happened in the past was due to a misunderstanding and was remorseful over his actions.

Earlier the BoG had rejected the appointment of Managing Director Wasim Khan and the proposed new domestic cricket structure, during the 53rd meeting of BoG in Quetta.

According to details, majority of PCB BoG members were against the items on agenda during the meeting, which is why a resolution was passed against it.

President of Lahore Region, Shahrazi Rokri, has already apologised to the PCB for adopting this stance while Noman Butt’s, President of Sialkot Region Cricket Association, case has been transferred to an independent adjudicator.

The board has also issued show-cause notice to President Regional Cricket Association Quetta, Shah Dost, and President of FATA region, Kabir Ahmed Khan. The members have been asked to submit their reply to the notice in a week’s time.

Chairman Ehsan Mani-led administration is hopeful that, once the issue is resolved, they will get the required approval from BoG, for the appointment of MD PCB Wasim Khan and changes to domestic structure.
