Rizwan jokingly reveals reason behind Khushdil's impressive form

After being ridiculed by many for being included in the T20 World Cup squad, Khushdil Shah is proving his worth in the HBL PSL 7.

Multan Sultans currently sits on the top of the PSL table with four successive victories, including the win over Islamabad United last night where the left-hander picked up four wickets.

With his 4-35 against Islamabad United, Khushdil Shah has leapfrogged ahead of his teammate Imran Tahir to become the current leading wicket-taker in PSL 7.

Previously, Khushdil picked up 3-16 against Gladiators, 1-14 against Qalandars, and 1-8 against Kings.

It is worth mentioning that Khushdil also played a crucial role in Multan's win over Qalandars where he scored an unbeaten 18 from only four deliveries off Haris Rauf to seal the victory. He smashed three boundaries and a maximum to chase down 16 needed from the last over.

Speaking about Khushdil's well-rounded performances, Mohammad Rizwan jokingly said that it is perhaps because the left-hander recently got married.

"Getting married seems to have been a lucky charm for Khushdil. Everything's going well for him, he is performing in batting, fielding, and now in bowling too," said Rizwan followed by a chuckle as he addressed the media after their 20-run victory over Islamabad.

Multan Sultans are currently being tipped as the team to beat. The latest to reiterate this was former Australian bowler Brad Hogg.
