In a calculated move, Saim opened the bowling for Zalmi and rattled the stumps of Hales on the first ball of the match
Peshawar Zalmi's Saim Ayub achieved a unique feat in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Monday when he dismissed Islamabad United's Alex Hales with his very first delivery.
In a calculated move, Saim opened the bowling for Zalmi to target the left-hander Colin Munro with his off-spin.
Before having the opportunity to bowl to Munro, Saim delivered an exceptional ball that disturbed Hales' stumps.
This dismissal marked Saim as the first player in the history of the tournament to both be dismissed on the first ball and take a wicket on the first ball of a match.
Saim's impactful performance didn't stop there, as he went on to dismiss Munro as well in his second over, concluding with impressive figures of 15/2 in his two overs.
Despite Saim's efforts, United managed to score 196/4 in their allotted 20 overs.
