Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza wants her husband Pakistan all-rounder, Shoaib Malik, to play for a good few years because of his fitness.

Shoaib Malik turned 40 recently and it seems like he has no plans to retire from the thing he loves the most. In an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan, Sania opined that Malik is blessed with a super fit body and labelled her husband as the epitome of a healthy lifestyle.

“Shoaib is exceptional and is so blessed. He really works hard on himself to stay at his best. He is a very good example of a healthy lifestyle. He can definitely in my opinion and I have said this to him that if you can mentally take the pressure, so play for two more years.

Sania also talked about her future endeavours that include businesses or coming into showbiz with Shoaib Malik

"We thoroughly enjoyed the launch of our perfume and that was different for the both of us. Like the perfume launch, we are thinking of getting into other businesses and exploring other avenues."

"You might have to ask Shoaib about his decision but for me personally, I am too camera shy to be an actor," she added.

Sania also disclosed that they are in talks for Shoaib-Sania biopic." Yes, we are in conversation with some people regarding the biopic. The process has been slowed down a lot due to the pandemic but yes, our contact is with the people."

Sania also revealed that she besides her husband's team, she likes Peshawar Zalmi the most in HBL PSL.

"Apart from Peshawar Zalmi, I think I like Karachi Kings the most. The attraction is mainly due to Salman [Iqbal] bhai because he is a good friend of ours, she maintained.

Sania named Imamul Haq and Wahab Riaz as the two most favorites in the Pakistan team.

"I don't know who my favourite player is because that is a bit unfair. The cricketer I get along with the most in terms of joking around is definitely Imam-ul-Haq, we have a lot of fun. I have known Wahab for a long time – we go a long while back and I also get along with his wife,” she added.

Sania further added that she and Malik do take advise from each other but refrain from interfering in professional matters. She said that her retirement decision was made solely but Malik supported it too.

"We value and support each other but, in the end, we always go with our gut as we both are professional athletes. We are playing for many years. He has always been supportive and he told me that he's behind this decision."

It must be noted that Sania has announced that she will bid farewell to Tennis at the end of 2022.
