In a move that has taken many by surprise, the New Zealand cricket team has hired former Pakistan coach, Saqlain Mushtaq, as as their assistan coach for their upcoming away series against Pakistan.
The announcement was made ahead of New Zealand's tour of Pakistan, where they are set to play five T20s and five ODIs from mid-April.

Recently, the coaching panel of the Pakistan Cricket team was also announced for the home series against the Blackcaps.
Former head coach of the Pakistan team, Mickey Arthur, is set to be appointed as the consultant team director by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Grant Bradburn is likely to work as the assistant coach of the team. Former South African fast bowler, Morne Morkel, is expected to join as the bowling coach, while Andrew Puttick is set to work as the batting coach.
It is to be noted that Pakistan and New Zealand have played 110 ODI matches between them. The Man in Green are currently in the lead with 56 wins and Latham-led Kiwi team have won 50 matches.
