Pakistan middle-order batter Saud Shakeel is confident his side can bowl England out quickly and chase the total down in the ongoing second Test at Multan.

England are currently on top after they bowled Pakistan out early in session one on Day two. The home side collapsed when Ollie Robinson got through the defences of Pakistan captain Babar Azam (75).

Pacers supported Jack Leach to dismiss Pakistan to 202, helping England taking a lead of 202.

"I think there were a lot of soft dismissals rather than their bowling. I think it would have been better if we got close to their total but there were a few soft dismissals," Saud said after Day two.

Saud who tried to take on Jack Leach but found James Anderson at mid-on, who took a brilliant catch. On the other hand,

"I was getting down the wicket to Leach before but unfortunately I mistimed that shot and got out. I have been getting out after being set, so this is something that I'll have to work on," he added.

Pakistan chased down 342 earlier this year in Galle against Sri Lanka and Saud thinks they have the confidence to do it again.

"I cannot answer regarding the matches that I haven't been a part of but because of soft dismissals, we collapsed. But if you look, we have chased down a total at Galle, there is not a huge concern."

The young batter, playing in his second Test, said there was a turn in the wicket but it was a slow one, which can be negotiated by the Pakistan batters who will be batting in the fourth innings.

"I think the wicket has slowed down, the ball is spinning but it is slow turn which is slightly more manageable," he said.

"We will try to get them out as quickly as possible, whatever the target is we will chase it down since there is a lot of time left in this game. We will try to bat well and keep it simple. I think if we occupy the crease, we can Inshallah win this contest."

England won the first Test by 74 runs in Rawalpindi and lead the three-match series 1-0.
