Shadab becomes second-youngest cricketer to achieve T20 milestone

Pakistan all-rounder, Shadab Khan, currently representing Sussex in the ongoing Vitality Blast 2023, etched his name into the record books by achieving a significant milestone in the world of T20 cricket. 

At 24 years & 247 days of age, Shadab has become the second-youngest cricketer to play 250 T20 matches. He achieved this feat during a match against Middlesex on Thursday in the T20 Blast.

Afghanistan all-rounder, Rashid Khan, holds the top spot as the youngest player to play 250 matches in the shortest-format.

The Pakistan all-rounder has accumulated an impressive tally of 2408 runs, including eight fifties, with a healthy strike-rate of 135.73.

The leg-break bowler has also been highly successful with the ball, taking 280 wickets, including a five-wicket haul, with an impressive average of 23.31 and an economy rate of 7.35.

The right-hand batter showcased his batting prowess by smashing a blistering knock of 59 runs from only 30 balls, which included four boundaries and five sixes in the aforementioned match. He played with an incredible strike rate of 196.66, constantly pressurizing the opposition bowlers. 

During his explosive innings, Shadab struck four fours and five sixes, displaying a wide range of powerful shots.

He also bowled an economical spell of 0/30 in his four overs, and was named player of the match.
