Pakistan cricketer, Shadab Khan, who was leading the side during yesterday's warmup match against Australia, added a touch of humor by jokingly attributing their fielding woes to the indulgence in the famed Hyderabadi biryani.

During the post match conference, Shadab was asked about the experience of eating the  famous Hyderabadi Biryani in India, to which he replied, "We are eating it daily, and perhaps that is why we are getting a bit slow."

The leg-spinner also took the opportunity to shed light on the positives gleaned from the recent warm-up games, emphasizing that the ultimate result wasn't the primary focus.

"Result is not important. We took a lot of positives. Our attitude was good, result not in our hands. I think our 11 is sorted, we just wanted to give time to the bench to show their skills. When you play against Australia and New Zealand, you get confidence. We got a little bit of experience of conditions [in Hyderabad]," he concluded.

It is worth noting that in both the warmup matches against New Zealand and Australia, the Men in Green faced defeats.

In the first warm-up match against New Zealand's Black Caps, Pakistan accumulated a total of 345 runs after losing five wickets. In response, New Zealand exhibited a clinical chase, achieving the target with ease in 43.4 overs.

In the subsequent warm-up match, Australia set a challenging target by posting an impressive total of 351 runs after losing seven wickets. However, Pakistan scored 337 runs before being bowled out inside the 48th over of the match.

Pakistan's first match in the 2023 World Cup will take place against the Netherlands at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on October 6th.
