Former Pakistan opener, who is now a renowned commentator, Ramiz Raja has opened up about the altercation between Quetta Gladiators’ skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and pacer Shaheen Afridi, during the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six match on Tuesday.

Words were exchanged between Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shaheen Afridi after the pacer hit the Quetta skipper on his helmet with a bouncer, during the first innings.

Commenting on the matter, Raja said that this incident took HBL PSL 6 to another level.

“Fronting up to rivals and eyeballing your opponent is what the contest is about, within given parameters of course. Sarfraz and Shaheen Afridi’s needle about turf possession just took this PSL to a different level,” said Raja in a tweet on his official Twitter account.

“It's all part of the game. I also don't like being hit for a boundary,” said Shaheen after the end of the first innings, when questioned about the matter.

Quetta Gladiators stayed alive in HBL PSL 6 with 18-run win over Lahore Qalandars, however they will need other results to go their way inorder to qualify for the playoffs.
