Former Pakistan captain, Shahid Afridi, congratulates Shadab Khan, on being named the skipper of the Pakistan team for the three-matchT20I series against Afghanistan.

Afridi, took to Twitter to express his support for the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) decision to appoint Shadab as the captain. Afridi praised the PCB for resting senior players and giving talented young leaders like Shadab a chance to shine.

The 24-year-old will lead the team in the absence of regular skipper Babar Azam, who has been given a short break to manage his workload.

The team will include four uncapped players, namely Ihsanullah, Saim Ayub, Tayyab Tahir, and Zaman Khan, while Abdullah Shafique, Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf, and Imad Wasim have been recalled.

The series against Afghanistan will be played from March 24 to 27 in Sharjah, and the Pakistan cricket selectors have named a new-look and highly-talented 15-player squad for the matches.
