Pakistan all-format skipper Babar Azam smacked his fastest ODI century in the second ODI against Australia, leading his side to the highest ever run chase.

The 27-year-old scored 83-ball 114, the highest score by a Pakistan captain against the Aussies. He also became the fastest to reach fifteen centuries in fewer innings.

Pakistan chased down the 349-run target in 49th over for the loss of four wickets.

Despite playing one of the best knocks, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is not satisfied with Babar Azam as he departed with 40 more runs remaining in the chase.

Boom Boom Afridi, in his tweet, appreciated Babar's knock but emphasised that he still needs to step up as a match winner.

"Amazing win! Good start by Babar Azam but lost his tempo, waiting for him to step up as a match winner. Regardless, great overall performances by Khushdil Shah, Imam-ul-Haq, Shaheen Afridi," Afridi tweeted.

"You made us proud, Keep it up boys," he added.
