Former captain Shahid Afridi emphasizes the importance of PSL 9 ahead of the T20 World Cup, expressing his preference for the league as his favorite T20 tournament.
Taking over his social media platform X, Afridi stated that he sees PSL 9 as pivotal for Pakistan's squad selection for the upcoming World Cup.
"Having played leagues across the @thePSLt20 is my favourite for the high quality bowling & intense matches. To select the best players for @T20WorldCup this summer, the #HBLPSL9 is a key tournament! I wish every player the best of luck, give your best we are counting on you," Afridi wrote on X.

It is worth noting that Lahore Qalandars will face off Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.
Islamabad, having clinched the title twice in 2016 and 2018, will aim for another victory, while Lahore, the defending champions seeking their third consecutive win, are prepared to defend their title with strong performances.
