Left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya claimed his seventh five-wicket haul in Test match cricket and Asitha Fernando finished with three wickets as Afghanistan were bowled out after lunch.
The Sri Lankan openers, Dimuth Karunaratne (32*) and Nishan Madushka (22*) swiftly knocked off the target before tea on the fourth day.
