Sri Lankan cricketer Dimuth Karunaratne extended his heartfelt thanks as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation to the Pakistan Government and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for ensuring maximum security during their short stay in Lahore for the 2023 Asia Cup.


Karunartane took over his social media platform 'X' (formerly known as Twitter) and appreciated the stringent security measures that were put in place by the government and board, including the deployment of thousands of security personnel.

The Sri Lankan cricket team arrived in Lahore to participate in the 2023 Asia Cup, where they defeated Afghanistan in a last-ball thriller and qualified for Super 4s. The team will now play their remaining matches in their native country since the Asia Cup is being co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
