Srikkanth said that the teams to watch out for are India, Australia, and England, as he sees one of them emerging as the champions
Former Indian cricketer, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, has expressed his views on why Pakistan cannot be considered as favorites for the upcoming 2023 World Cup in India.
Although Srikkanth did not completely dismiss Pakistan's chances, he pointed out that the absence of recent matches in India could be a significant disadvantage for them.
“I would like to see what kind of team they are going to select; that’s the most important thing," Srikkanth told India Today.
“I am not ruling out Pakistan. Yes, they are used to sub-continent conditions, but the point is, they have not played in India for a long time,” he added.
Not a single player from Pakistan, who participated in the recent One Day International (ODI) series against New Zealand, has played an international match in India.
Srikkanth further added that the teams to watch out for are India, Australia, and England, as he sees one of them emerging as the champions.
