South African legendary pacer Dale Steyn is hoping to be back in Pakistan to represent Quetta Gladiators for the remainder of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six, after the tournament was postponed indefinitely on Thursday due to several players and officials testing positive for Covid-19.

Steyn, in a video message, thanked the fans for their support and believes Gladiators are one win away from getting some serious momentum going and wants to continue from where they left once the tournament resumes.

“Although, the competition is now postponed, I don’t want you guys to lose hope. In this competition, we are just one win away from getting the ball rolling in terms of getting some momentum and winning, just like we did last night [against Multan]," said Steyn.

“Hopefully when the competition resumes, we can get back on it and potentially make those finals. I think that is the big idea and the big plan. So stick with us and hopefully see you soon. Thank you for your support," he added.

Australia all-rounder Ben Cutting is also looking forward to return to Pakistan for the remaining matches of the sixth season of the HBL PSL.

“It is disappointing to see the tournament being postponed. We really hope we can get back and finish the tournament off in the next couple of months or sometime this year. I am really excited to come back here. Five games left for Quetta this season. We have broken the momentum now. Hopefully we can get on a roll and be in finals sometime this year," said Cutting.
