Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has left for Australia, where he will serve as Pakistan’s ICC ambassador at the T20 World Cup.

The world's governing body named Hafeez as the ambassador for the T20 World Cup last month. The 42-year-old is the only Pakistani who will be the ambassador in the ongoing competition.

Hafeez will be on the ground during Pakistan's games against South Africa and Bangladesh. The matches are scheduled at November 3 and 6, respectively.

It must be noted Hafeez retired from international cricket earlier this year, however, he continues to take part in T20 leagues and works as an analyst on the national sports channel.
