Pakistan selection committee had announced an 18-member squad for the recently-concluded Ireland and the upcoming England T20I series.

Among the 20 participating teams, Pakistan stands out as the sole team yet to disclose its 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.

The 18-member squad announced for aforementioned series will be trimmed to 15 players for next month’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 after the first T20I against England at Leeds on 22 May to meet the ICC’s 24 May deadline.

Haris Rauf, Usman Khan, Irfan Khan Niazi, Abrar Ahmed and Salman Ali Agha didn't feature in the recently-concluded Ireland series. Hasan Ali participated in just one match, falling short of expectations.

Rauf, currently recovering from an injury, must exhibit full fitness in the lead-up to the World Cup to secure his spot in the final squad.

Abrar is likely to secure a place in the World Cup squad, while Agha Salman and Hasan Ali are slated to be named as reserve players for the journey. One of Irfan Khan Niazi or Usman Khan will accompany Hasan and Salman as traveling reserves.

Pakistan is placed in Group A for the World Cup, alongside traditional rivals India, Ireland, Canada, and the USA.
