The Chief Executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Wasim Khan has left for a vacation in England following in the footsteps of the Chairman of the PCB Ehsan Mani while many important issues remain unaddressed. Starting domestic cricket in bio-secure environment along with many issues have been delegated to other officials.

According to details, Mani had also left for England along with his wife in the chartered plane that transported the Pakistan cricket team to England. The Chairman has been on vacation for almost a month now.

Khan had left a couple days while prior no information was provided on the matter. Two video interviews were also provided which gave the impression that Khan was busy at the PCB headquarters in Lahore.

The two top officials taking a vacation during these challenging times is a surprising development. It should be noted that the Chairman receives around $400 as the daily allowance along with residence for a trip to England. Khan receives $320 per day along with residence whereas he would likely receive $720 per day without residence.

A PCB representative, after being contacted by an ‘Express’ correspondent for the matter, claimed that both officials had been taking part in official meetings through video calls while spending their annual leaves in England. The two top officials will not be claiming any allowances from the PCB.

The representative, while answering another question, clarified that Khan will not be attending any matches between England and Pakistan. He is likely to return to Pakistan on August 10 or 11. The official also claimed that both top officials of the PCB were in contact with the staff hence no acting chairman had been named.
