Sri Lanka has set a 148-run target for Pakistan in the first semifinal of the U19 Asia Cup.
After winning the toss, Sri Lanka opted to bat first and put Pakistan under pressure. However, their plans were halted as Ahmed Khan struck in the second over and removed opener, Shevon Daniel, for just one run.
Sri Lanka showed some resistance after the early dismissal but failed to pile on runs as the game progressed. Struggling at 30-1 in the 10th over, Sri Lanka lost two wickets in three balls as Ahmed Khan struck again and was joined in by Zeeshan Zameer.
Zeeshan, who put on a superb bowling display against India as he took a five-for, finished his 10-over spell with four wickets and conceded 32 runs.
Ahmed Khan and Awais Ali took two wickets each whereas Maaz Sadaqat took the important wicket of Matheesha Pathirana who put up 32 runs towards the end. Aarham Nawab also popped up with a wicket that concluded the Sri Lankan innings.
