Pakistan's left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir was unable to join the national cricket team as they embarked on their journey on Tuesday due to a visa delay for Ireland.

Despite his selection for the T20I series against Ireland and England, Amir faced travel hindrances due to visa complications.

Amir, who has acquired permanent residency in the United Kingdom through his marriage to British national, had previously visited Ireland in 2018.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is actively communicating with Cricket Ireland, asserting that the responsibility for timely visa issuance lies with the hosts.

Both the PCB and Amir are eagerly awaiting the visa, while the Pakistani squad arrived in Dublin on Wednesday morning. Shadab Khan and Hassan Ali, who were in England, have joined the squad in Dublin.

The team will take a rest day on Wednesday and commence their first training session on Thursday.

The first T20I match between Ireland and Pakistan is slated for Friday, May 10th.
