Pakistan's journey begins in Dallas, where they will take on co-host USA on June 6
The US Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Blome, has expressed his best wishes to the Pakistani cricket team as they arrive in the United States for the T20 World Cup 2024.
In a video message shared on the US Embassy’s social media accounts, Ambassador Blome praised the passion Pakistanis have for cricket. He noted that the upcoming tournament would be the first-ever cricket World Cup hosted by the United States.
Ambassador Blome also shared a personal connection with the team, recounting a recent invitation he extended to the Pakistani cricket team to visit the US embassy. During their visit, he engaged with the players, learning bowling and batting techniques from them.
“Pakistanis’ love for cricket is truly remarkable,” Donald said.
“I’m excited to see the Pakistani team in action during the World Cup,” Ambassador Bloom stated, expressing his anticipation for the thrilling matches ahead.
Pakistan's journey begins in Dallas, where they will take on co-host USA on June 6, followed by matches against India on June 9 and Canada on June 12 in New York. Their final league match against Ireland is slated for June 16 in Florida.
