Usama Mir makes impressive Vitality Blast debut with all-round performance

Pakistan leg spinner, Usama Mir, made an outstanding debut for Worcestershire Rapids against Northamptonshire in the ongoing T20 Vitality Blast 2023.  

Mir showcased his batting prowess by scoring 20 runs off only 7 balls, hitting two sixes and a four. His contribution helped his team reach a total of 196/9 in 20 overs after choosing to bat first.

With the ball, the 27-year-old turned the tables on Northamptonshire as he proved his skills by taking the wickets of Ricardo Vasconcelos, Saif Zaib and Rob Keogh, finishing with impressive figures of 3/21. Thanks to his brilliant all-round performance, Worcestershire Rapids won the match by 15 runs.

Leg-spinner is now scheduled to play his next game for Worcestershire Rapids against Yorkshire Vikings, led by Shan Masood, on May 26th. 

His stint will conclude with a final game against Leicestershire on May 29th.
