Former England captain Michael Vaughan has revealed his list of the most powerful batting units, placing the West Indies at the top.

Vaughan ranked Australia and South Africa in second and third place respectively, followed by England, New Zealand, India, and Pakistan in the subsequent spots.

“Most powerful batting units are West Indies, Australia, South Africa, England, New Zealand, India and Pakistan - in that order,” Vaughan wrote posted on X.

Vaughan added that in a World Cup where 175 is a par score, all teams have a chance, but if scores resemble those of the IPL (around 225), only the top four power-hitting teams will have a real shot at winning.

“If it’s a World Cup where 175 is par all teams have a chance. If it is like the IPL, score of 225, only one of the top four power hitting teams will win in my opinion,” he further wrote.

It is worth noting that the T20 World Cup will be held in the USA and West Indies at three venues in the USA and six in the Caribbean from June 2 to 29. The tournament will kick off with the USA facing Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

England enters the tournament as the defending champions after their victory over Pakistan in the 2022 final.
