Ahmed ended the game undefeated with 94 runs in 50 balls.
Despite taking three wickets, Riaz conceded 47 runs in his four overs. Despite his tough performance, Riaz was happy with Ahmed's impressive batting display.
Zalmi fell short in their pursuit of 185, scoring 181-7 in 20 overs.
Mohammad Haris led with 53 runs, while Shahid Afridi and Babar Azam added 25 and 23 runs, respectively.
Quetta's Mohammad Hasnain was the top bowler with 3-30 in four overs.
Naseem Shah defended nine runs in the final to secure Quetta's win.
