Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf in the Big Bash League (BBL), showcased an unprecedented moment during the Melbourne Stars' BBL match against Sydney Thunder at Lavington Sports Oval in Albury on Saturday.

As Rauf stepped in to bat at No. 11 with just one ball remaining in the innings, he initially opted not to wear pads, gloves, or a helmet while standing at the non-striker's end. His intention was seemingly due to the limited time left in the game.

However, the on-field umpires intervened, insisting on ensuring his safety, and thus prompted Rauf to put on his gloves and helmet. Despite this, he chose not to wear his pads, prompting a commentator to express astonishment, labeling the scenario as a 'circus' on live broadcast.

No gloves, pads or helmet on 🤣

Rauf, while at the crease, notably did not put on both of his gloves. His unconventional approach left Daniel Sams, who had been instrumental with two wickets and a run-out, bewildered on the field.
