Livingstone shimmied down the track in the ninth over and connected a half volley at the meat of the bat. The ball sailed on the third and top tier of the stadium.

Commentators were quite impressed with Livingstone’s huge six and praised the batter for his brutal strength.

It must be noted that England outclassed Pakistan by six wickets in their final warm-up match.

In a game reduced to 19 overs a side in Brisbane because of a short rain delay, Pakistan made a fast start but were limited to 160-8 after being put into bat by Jos Buttler. England raced to their target for the loss of six wickets with more than four overs to spare.
