Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8th edition will feature a showdown between Pakistan's skipper Babar Azam and star pacer Shaheen Afridi as they lead their respective teams, Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars.

The Lahore Qalandars shared a video of the training session of Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi at the National High Performance Centre on Saturday.

Azam, who is the all-time leading scorer of PSL, joined Zalmi as part of a major trade deal.

The tournament will begin with an opening ceremony in Multan on February 13, followed by the opening match between Multan Sultans and Qalandars.

The final will take place on March 19 in Lahore. The teams will play in different venues, with Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore and Multan hosting matches.
