Rauf’s delivered a devastating blow for Sydney Sixers after removing the in-form Philippe, who had scored 61 and an unbeaten 52 in his last two matches. The fast-bowler gave away 29 runs off four overs while taking one wicket.

Melbourne Stars restricted Sydney Sixers for 142 runs with the loss of seven wickets in their allotted overs.

Earlier, Rauf rejoined the Melbourne Stars franchise for the ongoing BBL after the third and final Twenty20 International (T20I) between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.

The fast-bowler enjoyed a decent run of form against Bangladesh with bowling figures of 1-32 and 1-27 in the first and second T20I respectively.

Rauf shot to fame after his blistering entry into the BBL as a substitute for the injured South African pacer Dale Steyn. The fast-bowler has now taken 17 wickets in eight matches, which include a fifer and a hat-trick.
