In a light-hearted moment during the ICC T20 World Cup photoshoot, Pakistan's star fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, found himself in a humorous exchange with the ICC media team.
Afridi, who sees himself as more than just a bowler, was asked to pose with a poster that labeled him solely as a “bowler.” This did not sit well with him.
"Why have you written just 'bowler' next to my name?" Afridi questioned, clearly miffed by the designation.
He expressed his dissatisfaction and formally registered his grievance, emphasizing the importance of being acknowledged as an all-rounder.
Despite this amusing incident, Pakistan is set to kick off its T20 World Cup campaign against an eager USA team in Dallas today. However, its preparation faced some challenges, as inclement weather disrupted two crucial practice sessions. The rain posed a significant challenge, affecting its training plans.
The match is scheduled for 8:30 pm PST at Grand Prairie Stadium. Fortunately, the weather is expected to be ideal for the game. According to weather.com, Thursday morning will be bright, clear, and sunny, with temperatures expected to reach around 35°C in Dallas.
