Pakistan pacer was playing for Comilla Victorians against Khulna Titans
Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz has bagged a hat-trick during the ongoing edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Monday.
The left-arm pacer achieved the feat while playing for Comilla Victorians against the Khulna Titans.
The Victorians were cruising to victory — after having set Titans a massive target of 238 runs — with 83 runs required from the last couple of overs.
Riaz — who was asked to bowl the penultimate over of the innings — claimed the wickets of David Wiese, Taijul Islam and Mohammad Saddam on the third, fourth and fifth ball of the over to pick up a hat-trick.
The pacer ended up with figures of 3-14 in 2.5 overs.
The Victorian won the contest in convincing fashion by 80 runs. For his belligerent 109-run knock of just 49 balls — an innings which included five fours and ten sixes — left-handed Windies opener Evin Lewis bagged the award for the player of the match.
