Pakistan was dismissed for 268 after Anderson took 4-36 and Robinson took 4-50 on a placid pitch at Rawalpindi Stadium; as the daylight faded, the stadium floodlights were glowing.

Pakistan was 257-5 at tea, needing 86 runs to win in an exciting final session.

Mohammad Rizwan scored 46 and was one of two wickets to fall in the second session. He and Saud Shakeel, who scored 76, shared a fourth-wicket stand of 87 runs.

Mohammad Rizwan congratulated the England team for their historic win at Rawalpindi after playing the Test series in Pakistan after 17 years.

The 30-year-old said that the the Pakistan team will bounce back in the remaining Test matches in Multan and Karachi.

It is to be noted that Mohammad Rizwan scored 5000 international runs during the first Test and is also the 28th Pakistan player to achieve the landmark.

The second Test will be played in Multan from December 09, 2022, to December 13, 2022, and the final Test will be played in Karachi from December 17, 2022, to December 21, 2022.
