Ireland is set to face the co-hosts USA in the third match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 on June 14 at Lauderhill in Florida.

The T20 World Cup 2024 matches at Central Broward Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, are under the looming threat of rain.

This highly anticipated clash holds significant stakes, as a win for co-hosts USA will secure them a spot in the Super 8 round of the tournament.

Weather conditions suggest that today will be quite challenging, with a high of 29°C and a RealFeel of 33°C. In shaded areas, the RealFeel will be slightly lower at 32°C. The forecast predicts cloudy skies accompanied by a couple of showers and a heavy thunderstorm, raising concerns about flooding due to the additional rain.

A Flood Watch is effective from 12:00 AM Tuesday to 8:00 PM Friday. The maximum UV index is expected to be low at 2. Precipitation levels could reach 24.8 mm, with wind blowing from the south-southwest at 17 km/h and gusts up to 24 km/h. The likelihood of precipitation is 99%, with four hours of rain anticipated and a 59% probability of thunderstorms. Cloud cover will be extensive at 99%.

There's also a 47% chance of rain for the Pakistan vs. Ireland match on June 16.

Pakistan, with two losses in three matches, still has a chance to qualify for the Super 8 if the following results occur:

  • June 14: USA vs. Ireland — Ireland win
  • June 15: Canada vs. India — India win
  • June 16: Ireland vs. Pakistan — Pakistan win

If these results hold, Pakistan and the USA will tie with four points. Pakistan will qualify as they have a superior net run rate.
