Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan has started to regain fitness and took part in the team's training session yesterday.
The 23-year-old was ruled out of the remaining league matches due to groin injury and Asif Ali led the side in his absence.
United lost the last three league games but managed to sneak through to the playoffs due to better net run-rate compared to Quetta Gladiators. Both teams had won four matches in the league stage.
United will face Peshawar Zalmi tomorrow on February 24 and according to sources, the final decision on Shadab Khan's inclusion will be made before the match.
It must be noted that Shadab is the leading wicket-taker despite missing matches with 17 wickets in six innings.
