Ottis Gibson, head coach of Yorkshire, had named Shan Masood as the county's captain last year.
While talking to the media, Gibson stated that the Shan, who formerly used to play for Derbyshire on a two-year contract, will lead the county in the upcoming summer season.
"The conversation we've had with Shan is that he is going to be club captain going forward. Shan is going to be club captain, and he will bring his own style of leadership," Gibson had said.
