Pakistan batting coach Younis Khan has picked key players who can play an integral part for the Men in Green in the 2021 T20 World Cup later this year in India.

While speaking to reporters in an online interaction ahead of the T20Is against South Africa, Younis said that younger players need to be given a consistent run in the team so that they can prove their mettle.

“Mohammad Hafeez has performed really well in the recent past, so we have a mature player in him. Even though he is not playing the South African series, which is unlucky for us.We have a dashing player in the shape of Haider Ali. Mohammad Rizwan is emerging into a leader, while Babar Azam is very young. So we have these players who can play an integral part for us,” said Younis.

“Hussain Talat, Asif Ali, Danish Aziz and Mohammad Nawaz are also players who can serve Pakistan for a long time if given confidence.  These are the core group of players who can serve us in next T20 World Cup,” he added.

Pakistan won the recently concluded Test series against South Africa two-nil and will now move towards the T20I leg of the series which includes three fixtures that will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on February 11, 13 and 14 respectively.
