Zaman Khan is currently showcasing his skills as a pacer for Derbyshire in the ongoing T20 Vitality Blast. Under the guidance of renowned coach Mickey Arthur, who was also recently appointed as the team director for the Pakistan men's team, Zaman has been flourishing and making significant contributions to his side.

Expressing his admiration for Arthur, Zaman acknowledges the coach's invaluable support and mentorship.

"Mickey Arthur is the best coach and mentor. He supports me a lot which gives me a lot of confidence. Everyone here gives lots of confidence to me. In return, I try to perform for my team," Zaman told a local TV channel.

Last month, Arthur specifically mentioned that he had recruited Zaman to enhance the bowling lineup of the Falcons in the Derbyshire leg of the Blast.

“He will just get better and better. He possesses the skills we need. He balls an incredibly-good fast yorker; he delivers a good bouncer and a very good slower ball, and those are the skills we need," Arthur said.

“The key is he fits into what we needed. We needed somebody who can bowl two overs in the power play and then two at death. Something when we had looked at our squad, we thought we had left, and he can do that and does that incredibly well. We battle a little bit with his English, but actually we are very fortunate to get him," he further added.

Zaman 's rise to prominence began when he made his debut in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2022, representing the Lahore franchise. It was his exceptional performances, particularly in the crucial death overs, that propelled him into the limelight. Zaman played a pivotal role in Lahore's title triumph in both the 2022 and 2023 editions of the PSL.

With such impressive performances in PSL, Zaman earned his opportunity to represent the Pakistan national team. He made his international debut against Afghanistan in March of the current year and has since played in six T20Is.
