Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam, has yet again proved his mettle by being named in the unofficial World Test Championship team of the tournament announced by Cricket Australia on Wednesday.
This team recognizes the players who delivered exceptional performances throughout the WTC's two-year cycle and is designed to create a team that would excel in all conditions.

The team comprises of three fast bowlers and two spinners, including Ravindra Jadeja as an all-rounder, along with aggressive middle-order batters who played a pivotal role in the latter half of the championship.
Babar's inclusion in the team is due to his outstanding performance in Test cricket over the past 24 months. In just 14 Tests, he amassed more than 1,500 runs, including a remarkable 425-ball 196 against Australia in Karachi, which nearly resulted in an unlikely Pakistan victory. He also scored centuries against Sri Lanka, England, and New Zealand.
Although he played eight Tests in Pakistan's batsman-friendly home conditions, he maintained an average of 56.30 away from home, including a vital 119 against Sri Lanka in Galle that helped his side secure a win.
Squad: Usman Khawaja, Dimuth Karaunaratne, Babar Azam, Joe Root, Travis Head, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ravichandran Ashwin, Pat Cummins (C), Kagiso Rabada, and James Anderson.
