Hogg picks Imad Wasim over Hardik Pandya as favourite cricketer

Australia’s former leg-spinner Brad Hogg, in a tweet on Thursday, chose Pakistan’s all-rounder Imad Wasim over India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya when asked which one was his favourite.

The 49-year-old however claimed that Pandya would be better than ever before when he is fully fit for international cricket.

“Going to go Imad Wasim on this one. But watch out, I have a great feeling Hardik Pandya when he is fully fit and back in business will deliver better than before,” Hogg tweeted.

Hogg also believed that comparing Peshawar Zalmi batsman Haider Ali and Pakistan’s prolific batsman Babar Azam was not right as the rookie needed more time and exposure to prove himself.

“Totally agree. Comparisons are difficult in the game of cricket when you put the stats in context of conditions and opponents. Let the young man play and revisit in a couple of years. The PCB should send him to England or Australia to further his skills,” he tweeted.

The former leg-spinner used the word ‘frustrating’ while giving his opinion about Pakistan’s veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik who, he believed, should be picked in the international side based on his talent.

“Frustrating. Good player, has the talent to be first picked in the international team with his all-round skills,” he tweeted.
